The CASSE Policy Program operates at local, regional, national, and international levels. Projects come and go at each of these levels. For example, CASSE has participated in the Harmony with Nature initiative in the UN, the Kyiv Communique, and Rio + 20. CASSE also maintains two ongoing projects centered in the USA: (1) The Steady State Economy Act (SSEA), a vision for macroeconomic policy in the USA which would supercede the Full Employment and Balanced Growth Act of 1978, the antiquated central economic policy of the USA; and (2) the Keep Our Counties Great program, means keeping the bulldozers at bay. It starts with a county comprehensive plan designed to help get the county off the hamster wheel of growth and onto the straight path of a steady state economy. All CASSE policy projects are designed for advancing overall well-being for citizens, including (1) maintaining a network of conservation areas sufficient in size and diversity to ensure the long-term provision of vital ecosystem services; (2) managing the money supply and redeveloping the tax code with the new macroeconomic policy goal as a guide; (3) employing cap-auction-trade systems in the commons sector for allocating basic resources that enables a high standard of living for everyone, and a dozen more on-going projects.
